Watercourse enforcement

In March 2024, the County Council adopted a Policy and Protocol for Enforcement Action. It sets out the approach to the use of our powers under the Land Drainage Act 1991.

We will use this formal protocol to decide which works need investigations and possible enforcement. We will also use it decide which cases to give priority to on a county wide basis.
