The adults practitioner toolkit has been designed in collaboration with practitioners to support social care practice across all of adults' services. Everything you need can be found in one place including legislation and good practice tips.

Learning and development offering

We offer a comprehensive Learning and Development programme with opportunities to develop specialisms.

We provide a blended learning offer through online training, face to face courses and eLearning modules to Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) employees enabling all of us to best serve the communities and citizens of Cambridgeshire.

Courses include:

  • AMCP
  • PROACT-SCIPr-UK® – Positive range of options to avoid crisis and use therapy
  • Medication and healthcare

High standards of supervision across the service

Great Supervision practices allow social workers to make balanced decisions and feel supported in these. All managers are very supportive of personal development and there is a commitment across CCC to prioritise supervision.

Teaching partnerships

CCC is part of the Greater Cambridgeshire Teaching Partnership and has strong links with Anglia Ruskin University. The benefits of these resources support our social workers to develop and offer lots of great opportunities.

Coaching offer

The Learning and development (L&D) team offer coaching with a focus on both personal and professional development.

Journals and subscriptions

You will be provided with access to the Journal of Social Work, Sage Knowledge and Research in  Practice subscription which offers evidence-based practice research.

Practice standards and quality team

The practice standards and quality team are there to facilitate sessions, offering the opportunities to turn small mistakes into big opportunities for learning.

The practice standards and quality team encourage feedback and suggestions and want social workers to help shape practice.
