Temporary library works

Temporary library works

We’re currently carrying out temporary works to adapt and improve some of our library buildings. This will help to ensure that our libraries meet the changing needs of communities in Cambridgeshire.

The information below provides details on the works that we will be undertaking throughout 2025. This will be updated as new closures are scheduled and completed.

You can also find information below on any alternative provisions in place, such as extended opening hours to neighbouring libraries and additional mobile library stops which have been planned.

Whilst we aim to be as accurate as possible with the dates below, there may be instances where these may change at short notice.

Where possible, we will place signs in the relevant library building at least 14 days before work is planned to start. Our friendly library staff will be on hand to inform visitors of upcoming closures.
