Cambridge tradesperson parking permits

A tradesperson parking permit enables tradespeople to park their vehicle(s) in a designated resident only parking area within a scheme area's operational hours.

Each Resident Parking Scheme has different operational hours.

Please note that:

  • You can purchase tradesperson parking permits on a daily, weekly or monthly basis
  • The permits are specific to the scheme area you apply for
  • You can only have two tradesperson parking permits per address at any one time with one vehicle registration number per permit
  • You cannot transfer the permits between vehicles
  • This permit doesn't reserve or guarantee the availability of a parking space
  • As this is a virtual permit, you don't need to display a permit in the windscreen of the vehicle

Who can apply for a Cambridge tradesperson parking permit

Either the homeowner or the contractor can purchase a tradesperson parking permit.

When you apply, you need to provide evidence of works, i.e. a job sheet. Photographic evidence of work being undertaken will not be accepted as proof of works.

Cost of permit

A tradesperson parking permit costs £14 per working day plus an administration fee of £9.
